A Taste of Israeli Culture in the Diaspora

Israeli politics and protests getting you down? It’s time to reinvigorate with some cultural events which will take you back to those rockin’ Thursday nights on your semester abroad in Tel Aviv, or perhaps that random David Broza concert you once went to in college. Perhaps you just want an excuse to hear some Hebrew outside of the synagogue?

The New York Israeli Consulate now compiles a variety of Israeli music, theatre and other cultural events happening throughout the city on one tidy website. They also point you to a helpful set of links with information on organizations and events beyond New York provided by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Now put down that old fashioned falafel and get out and experience some modern Israeli life…without leaving the country.

"I may attack a certain point of view which I consider false, but I will never attack a person who preaches it. I have always a high regard for the individual who is honest and moral, even when I am not in agreement with him. Such a relation is in accord with the concept of kavod habriyot, for beloved is man for he is created in the image of God." —Rav Joseph Soloveitchik
