The New Jew

Writing for B’nai B’rith Magazine, Richard Greenberg and Debra Nussbaum Cohen offer an exhaustive exposé on The New Jew. The piece examines the affects of the “trendy Jewish identity” upswing, the burdgeoning autonomous Jewish movement, and in pointing towards the future of American Jewry, highlights the views of no less than five contributors to Jewschool, including yours truly.

  1. Yikes! They totally screwed up my quotes … and, for the record, my Metrodox article was written for Jewsweek, not Jewcy. It’s always nice to see two non Gen-Xer’s write about us.

"I may attack a certain point of view which I consider false, but I will never attack a person who preaches it. I have always a high regard for the individual who is honest and moral, even when I am not in agreement with him. Such a relation is in accord with the concept of kavod habriyot, for beloved is man for he is created in the image of God." —Rav Joseph Soloveitchik
