Orthodox State Assemblyman Ryan Karben of Monsey has abruptly resigned his second term post admid sketchy allegations that he made unwanted sexual advances on male interns. There have been other stories over the years but this is apparantly the end of the line for Karben who many thought would run for higher office. Karben first entered public office while enrolled as a student at Yeshiva University and then elected to the Rockland county legislature in 1997. Stories in recent years implied certain improprieties and even residencies in two voting districts but details were often vague.
