The Inside the Activists’ Studio was a great event — Nina over at JVoices has a summary — with over 125 folks. But more about that later. At the moment, the need to party together frequently was mentioned previously regarding the emerging pan-Jewish social justice cooperation. While I don’t necessarily disagree with the benefit of partying together… I worry a bit when social justice feels more like a scene than a movement.

Better one scene that a dozen separate cliques, which is mostly how the various fellows and alumni function now…But I see what you’re saying.
I wouldn’t worry, it’s a movement for sure, there’s no challenging the demographic data on it. Just the appearance and rapid growth of all these service groups is testament enough. Hopefully now we’ll begin trying to tie it all together.
