To connect to an activist in Israel, one should see the many Facebook postings of Moran Mekamel. Our family met her by chance in Uganda about 5 years ago. In the past few years, she has become quite involved in the African community in Be’er Sheva and no doubt in other cities. I’m sure she’d be heartened to read about what’s happening here — when she takes a break from bake sales, public meetings, talks to the press, etc.
