How many refugees has Israel accepted in 64 years?

From the Presidents Conference in Jerusalem in June 2012, Jewish leaders were asked a single question: “Since 1948, how many non-Jewish people has the State of Israel accepted as refugees?” Due notice that all the Israelis are way closer to the truth than the rosy-eyed Americans.
How many refugees do you think Israel should accept as part of its obligation under the UN refugee covenant — of which Israel was on the steering committee for the drafting of it and 5 of 26 contributing NGOs were Jewish ones? Hmmmm?

  1. I watched the video, it’s really interesting. Just looking at the stats, if less than 200 refugees were granted status in 64 years, and less than 60 africans received it in the last six years, then roughly a quarter or more of all refugee permits were given to africans since israel’s independence, possibly more if more received it in the 58 years prior to 2006. It’s not much, clearly, and very little given the influx, but it changes the stats.

  2. God forbid that foreign workers should be considered people. Perhaps her small income should be increased? Perhaps the safety nets should not have been cut. נמאס לי. מגעיל.
