Debby Hirshman, Executive Director of the JCC in Manhattan (where I’ve been the resident webmaster for the past three years) was recently forced to resign her position at the request of the organization’s Board of Directors. While, as an employee of the organization, I am not permitted to offer any details with regards to the situation, nor, I suspect, should I offer my feelings on the subject, I present the following three articles currently in circulation: NY Sun, The Jewish Week, and The Forward. I hope I’m not crossing the line with my employer by simply stating, Debby was a remarkable woman, and I am truly sad to see her go.
