Thanks to the toiling of Asemblyman Dov Hikind, straphangers in neighborhoods where Yiddish is the primary language, can now purchase MetroCards from vending machines that are programmed to communicate in the Eastern European dialect. Yiddish is the latest addition to the long list of other alternative launguages spoken by the time consuming touch screen devices that make people late for the train.
