By posting that I had no intention of implying that I think pretty much anything that man did while alive was OK. I don’t think that.
But after working as a hospice chaplain and being with an awful lot of people while they’re dying and/or as they die, I’m increasingly convinced that our job is to manage issues of justice for the living. I’m sorry that Arafat wasn’t held more accountable during his life for what he did during his life. But I’m also pretty certain that what happens to/for the dying and the dead is God’s job, and God can handle it and probably doesn’t need our opinion on the subject.
I’m not going to mourn the man’s passing. And yeah, I (realistically or not) have hope that things will improve for the better now and that fewer people will be hurt now. And I’m not pleased that Arafat did as much harm as he did while alive. But I refuse to dance on his grave. That, imho, does not help us or move us forward at all.

The verse is referring to a Jewish enemy.
Arafat’s death like the death of any Nazi is cause to rejoice.

The near future will not be a happy one for the Jews, so let us celebrate this great news now. After that comes the tried and proven to fail ‘confidence building measures’, the appeasement when the next terrorist attacks occur so as not to harm the ‘moderates’ attempts at reigning in the ‘militants’, and negotiations about retreating from Jewish land.
