A former Israeli karate champion, turned religious merchant, used to urge neighbors not to shop in stores that are open on the Sabbath, in hopes of influencing fellow shopkeepers to reconsider Saturday hours. Now, he has gone one step further, and has invented the world’s first Sabbath observant credit card, implanted with a special chip that won’t work on Saturday. Not even for double or triple pay.
