  1. D’oh! Hey, you know I barely can remember what day of the week it is. Which is funny becaue I’m reading slashdot earlier this morning and wondering how many of the articles are fakes.

  2. No kidding, if “nu christians” (like Kirk Cameron) really had sheygetzed the place up, there’d be some kind of joke about “upgrading” or “obsolescence.”
    And also it’s not funny.
This is funny, (in fact it was one of only two funny items in Matt Taibbi’s list of funny things about the pope’s death):
The pope was found upon posthumous examination to be not only Hitler, but a woman.

  3. Is April Fool’s like Valentines, halloween, xmas, and all the other jewish turned goyish holidays that Jews still celebrate?
Hello, Purim was over a week ago.
So glad that I don’t have to deal with that april fool’s crap anymore.

  4. valentines – cheap rip off of biblical tu b’av (15th of av which has Jewish virgins romping around he fields dressed in white)
Xmas – birth of a Jew,
Halloween – you got me, just a whacko pagan holiday.

  5. ” Valentine’s Day started in the time of the Roman Empire. In ancient Rome, February 14th was a holiday to honour Juno… Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage and ….the goddess of “feverish” (febris) love. Annually, on the ides of February, love notes or “billets” would be drawn to partner men and women for feasting and sexual game playing. Early Christians.. who… frowned on these lascivious goings-on changed the overtly sexual nature of Lupercalia by turning this “feast of the flesh” into a “ritual for romance!” … so the …. “Church selected a single saint to battle the pagan goddess Juno — St. Valentine (Valentinus). And since Valentinus had been martyred on February 14, the Church could also preempt the annual February 15 celebration of Lupercalia.”
    Christmas—
Much of Christmas has nothing to do with the birth of a Jew. Many Christmas traditions were celebrated centuries before jesus was born. The 12 days of Christmas, the bright fires, the yule log, the giving of gifts, carnivals(parades) with floats, carolers who sing while going from house to house, the holiday feasts, and the church processions can all be traced back to the early Mesopotamians.
But as Christianity spread they were alarmed by the continuing celebration of pagan customs and Saturnalia ( a roman hoilday honoring their Saturn god) among their converts. At first the Church forbid this kind of celebration. But it was to no avail. Eventually it was decided that the celebration would be tamed and made into a celebration fit for the Christian Son of God.
Halloween- Depends on which Halloween your referring to. Behind the name… Halloween, or the Hallow E’en as they call it in Ireland , means All Hallows Eve, or the night before the ‘All Hallows’, also called ‘All Hallowmas’, or ‘All Saints’, or ‘All Souls’ Day, observed on November 1. In old English the word ‘Hallow’ meant ‘sanctify’. Roman Catholics, Episcopalians and Lutherians used to observe All Hallows Day to honor all Saints in heaven, known or unknown. They used to consider it with all solemnity as one of the most significant observances of the Church year.”
The halloween your referring to the American version of Halloween Day celebration owes its origin to the ancient (pre-Christian) Druidic fire festival called “Samhain”, celebrated by the Celts in Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Samhain is pronounced “sow-in”, with “sow” rhyming with cow. In Ireland the festival was known as Samhein, or La Samon, the Feast of the Sun.
Hanukkah – During past generations, Hanukkah gelt was money given as rewards to children for learning well. Children were often tested in their knowledge of the story of Hanukkah.
Given that Hanukkah is celebrated about the same time of year as Christmas, many Jews have expanded the gelt giving tradition to a gift giving tradition.
I GUESS NO MORE GIFT GIVING FOR YOUR PAGAN ASS.

  6. Thanks for clearing that up.
Judaism itself was only created as a reactionary movement opposing the other current cultures of the time. Most, if not all the laws of the bible are mere efforts to differentiate from other peoples and created a cohesive experience for the group of families that broke off from their pagan semitic past to create a new cult.

  7. Whatever Josh, I’m just saying that Christmas, Halloween, and valentines have nothing to do with Judasim. But if it makes you feel better to think differently then well, hey have fun.
