British Muslims Issue Fatwa Against Suicide Bombing
The Beeb reports,
More than 500 British Muslim religious leaders and scholars have issued a fatwa in response to the London bombs.
The religious decree expresses condolences to the families of the victims of the atrocity and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.
It states Islam condemns the use of violence and the destruction of innocent lives and says suicide bombings are “vehemently prohibited”.
The fatwa was issued by the British Muslim Forum (BMF) outside Parliament.
well…it is good to hear that, because at least 500 British Muslim are hounest . Besides that Islam condemns the use of violence and the destruction of innocent lives and says suicide bombings are “vehemently prohibited” .Its a shame that some people understand Islam wrong.And again we are showen that most muslims do not represent islam.

There are actually multiple fatwas and announcements every attack, but nevertheless in America at least there is a right-wing mantra that “i have yet to hear any” (spoken by an illiterate incapable of research who doesn’t follow real news, especially crossworshipping radio hosts).

I can’t help but wonder if the bombers used one of those.
This means very little when they are not condemning terrorism in Israel.
I suspect they are more concerned about a backlash against their own community in Britain, than anything else.

And indeed so you may. A fatwa is not a “papal bull” and can be issued by nearly anyone for nearly anything, give or take sectarian differences.
Oh yeah … so what? terrorism by religous muslims still happens and most of these scholars are actually supporting it under the table.
