LimmudNY Presenters Announced

Registration for January’s MLK weekend Limmud New York event at Kutchers in the Catskills is filling up quickly; last year was sold out before Thanksgiving. In just five short days, not only can you attend a conference that is welcoming to Jews of all backgrounds (for example, there are more than five options for Friday evening services), but in just one day you could:

  • Go to a Joshua Nelson concert featuring a blend of Jewish Liturgical and African American musical styles
  • Eat vegetables grown on a Jewish farm in Long Island through Hazon‘s Tuv Ha’aretz project
  • See the film Columbia Unbecoming a documentary about students who have experienced incidents of academic abuse and intimidation at Columbia University
  • Make it to “alternative meditation ma’ariv” (evening services)
  • Hear a lecture by Concordia University women’s studies professor Norma Baumel Joseph

Scholarships are available for people of all areas of need, but they may run out soon. Register today!
Note: this is a hypothetical day that reflects planned aspects of LimmudNY and is not based on an official schedule of the five day conference.
