Iranian President: Move Israel to Europe

At least Europe is on the map.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran would support Israel’s existance if it moved to Europe. A month ago, he called for Israel to be wiped off the map entirely.
“Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces and they insist on it to the extent that if anyone proves something contrary to that they condemn that person and throw them in jail,” Ahmadinejad said.
“Although we don’t accept this claim, if we suppose it is true, we ask the Europeans: Is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem?” he continued.
“If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe — like in Germany, Austria or other countries — to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe. You offer part of Europe and we will support it.”

  1. *flapping arms wildly* Ooo ooo, pick us, pick us!
I’ve always fancied Yerushalayim relocated to the River Thames. The Western Wall AND da Queen…woooohoo!

  2. OO! OO! My vote is the French Riviera! We can take Marseilles! That was a weak friggin’ name anyway…
In all seriousness… does this guy remember that up until the Ayatollah Khomeini, there were still thousands of Jews in his own country that lived in abject fucking terror?
I know a kid YOUNGER than me whose family fled Isfahan (sp?) because his uncles kept getting dragged out of the house and beaten by the POLICE…

No shit man, its terrible, my friend converted to Christianity there, and by mistake told his best friend. He had to escape the country before they killed him and his family. He said that in school. the jewish kids ( they are still there) were constantly ridicul. and the like.

  4. He must be getting cocky for some reason, who knows? Maybe this is what viagra does to the brain after frequent usage.
This guy knows the truth that the Jews themselves wish to ignore; that our redemption is very close and he thinks that he can stop it. The bible says quite clearly that they will fall when we rise and what better way to show this – more and more Jews moving to Israel and the GNP rising as well. On the other hand, oil prices are relatively high, but they have nothing other than that and oil will run out in the end.
They are in their twilight and they are getting scared.

  5. “This guy knows the truth that the Jews themselves wish to ignore; that our redemption is very close …”
How do YOU know this? And what do you mean by “close”? And if these predictions are made and turn out to be wrong, what effect does that have on Judaism?

  6. During speech class you are taught to catch the audience attention with your opening statement. Apparently the Iranian President not only understands this concept he has mastered it. “Burn in Fire”, “Wipe them off the Map”, “Destruction”, “Retaliation”, “Not until they are all gone from this land”, these opening remarks not only get the audiences attention it gets the worlds attention.
Iranians do not like to be called Arabs, they consider themselves Persians. However, when it comes to Israel the Iranian leader refers to Palestinians, Egyptians, and Lebanonese, as his Arab brothers and sisters. The Iranian President never misses and opportunity to speak about his support of Arab countries in their struggles, and conflicts, with Israel. However, many feel its Irans’ support, and meddling, in the Arab-Israeli issue that is the real stumbling block to resolving the crisis in the Middle East.

  7. Actually, this guy knows the truth that many Jews themselves either state publicly or admit publicly. European Jews have nothing to do with the Middle East. Why should countries be given to particular religions? And why in the Middle East, of all places?

  8. pot-kettle, you are categorically incorrect. European Jews are a Middle Eastern people, and have every right to live in their ancestral homeland.

  9. cyh: everyones ancestors trace back to africa – should we all move to africa?
the notion of ancestry is purely political and has no basis in any sort of cosmic order.

  10. Although Europe would make sense, Venezuela would be a better choice, it has lots of oil. We’ve done such a fabulous job of policing the Middle East and disrupting politics there, our experience would be put to much better use in Latin America.

  11. arbit,
Actually, population geneticists place sub-Saharan Africa as the most genetically distinct region on Earth… Does everyones ancestry (ultimately) trace back to sub-Saharan Africa?? Yes. Do non-sub-Saharans cluster genetically with SSAs? No.
Since Zionism is a nationalist movement, the question of whether or not Jews constitute a nation is certainly valid. The answer is yes, we do, and we deserve our own state. But I’m not advocating an ethnically-pure Israel. I’m just answering pot-kettle’s false argument.

  12. Another idea would be a mobile Zionist entity, that could instantly assemble wherever the Capitalist superpowers needed it to be. That way, we could insure forever being in their good graces.

  13. Dameocrat ,
nuclear flatulation between Israel and Iran depends only on one simple thing: our return to torah.
As long as the Arabs see us uphold secular western ideals, we are lost and I will be packing my bags to move to some eastern european vally craphole. Like I said, the Arabs see us as very weak right now. We retreated from Gaza and are already talking about more. The Iranian prez is going for the kill by calling on the European bluff since he knows that he has no chance against us ‘militarily’. If you are in the diaspora, I’d worry much more/ When the sh1t hits the fan here, it won’t be pretty over there either. Let’s pray a bit harder, let’s be a bit more nicer to fellow jews, and above all – torah. Without torah, we are nothing.
    just another reminder:
