  1. “secular Jews control Hollywood” – i think he also explained what he meant by that – ie. ‘there are a disproportionate number of secular Jews who are in the Film business’ i don’t think that’s inaccurate, moreover he also said that it’s not a conspiracy!
_ Jews love Anti-Semitism – but this isn’t it – really – i’ve seen shite on this site which has been more offensive.

  2. He clarified that it wasn’t a conspiracy because he was in front of Stephen Colbert and his audience. IIRC, he sure didn’t talk like that when he was decrying the “attacks” on The Passion of the Christ. Are you familiar with Donohue’s public statements?
What have you found on here that you consider anti-Semitic?

  3. There is no more completely loathsome all-around scumbag in the United States than William Donohue. If by some awful accident he were to somehow come in contact with my grandmother’s antique sterling silver flatware set, I’d have to flush it down the toilet, since no amount of scrubbing could ever once again render it fit as a tool for human consumption.
Donohue is extreme rightwing political fanatic masquerading as a Catholic civil rights activist. He is a blatant propagandist, denouncing as “anti-Catholic” each and every belief, position, organization, individual, idea and work of art that deviates from the political agenda of the most benighted, regressive, hate-filled wing of orthodox Catholicism and Catholic bigots. He tries to paint the effort to end the exclusion of gays from the St. Patrick’s parade in New York, the making of The Da Vinci Code, and lawsuits against pedophile priests as attacks on the Catholic Church itself, rather than simple political matters. He’s every bit as much the civil rights advocate as is the National Association for the Advancement of White People.
It’s difficult to imagine there’s anyone dimwitted or dishonest enough to deny that “secular Jews control Hollywood” is as anti-Semitic as it gets. Then again, they’re the same geniuses who denied the racism in William Bennett’s statement that we could reduce the crime rate in America by aborting all black babies. The simple fact is that there are rightwing fanatics who will deny that any statement is racist or anti-Semitic short of “I hate niggers” or “Kill all Jews.”
On reflection, it shouldn’t be all that surprising that there are a fair number of Jews whose deranged political fanaticism would lead them to support alliances with notorious Jew-haters. Neturei Karta, anyone? Like Donohue himself, his Jewish supporters are perfectly willing to climb in the sack with racists and anti-Semites in order to further the construction of a grubby theocratic empire in the West Bank, as well as a political agenda based on such secondary principals as a hatred of homosexuals, an obsession with abortion, the prohibition of stem-cell research, and the like.
One principal applies above all others when dealing with Donohue and his ilk: Lie down in shit and they call you a pig.

  4. Hey, remember Jews for Jesus? What about the incessent attacks on Chomsky as a ‘self-hating Jew’ because he hates the criminality that Isreal engages. Because so many of you far rightwing, pro-war zionists cannot argue against Chomsky’s analysis you simply attack the person. He kicks your ass–and you’ve got …..”Dershowitz” jajajajajajaj….pffft.
About jewish people having representation in Hollywood that is not in proportion to their numbers in the general population. Hellow…..ever notice basketball and football? Is it racist to point out that historical, cultural, and political circumstances have contributed to a situation where this is so? The arguement for the genetic factor–without also pointing out the equal reality of politics, slavery, culture is simply disingenous.
Calling someone an anti-semite for pointing out that Jews have economic and cultural power that is not proportional to their numbers in US society is lame. But it is tried and true tactic for people that enjoy inordiante political power in a way that is contrary to the spirit of democracy.
In essence, many zionists have utter contempt for democracy and they firmly believe that they enjoy their wealth because they are genetically superior to black folks. Yes, this is blatant racism and it is tied to the oppression of browner people by lighter skinned Euros, Christian and Jew.
About Gibson and Donohue–I have to study their comments, but it could well be that they are anti-semitic. Especially blaming Jewish people for killing Christ–it was the empire stupid!

  5. Sid:
It’s delightful to welcome a real genius to the conversation. Given the fact that most of the incoherent boneheads on this site tend to come from the far right, it’s good to know – just for equal opportunity’s sake – that the left is equally capable of producing its share of salivating halfwits as well.
Is it racist to point out that historical, cultural, and political circumstances have contributed to a situation where this is so? . . . . Calling someone an anti-semite for pointing out that Jews have economic and cultural power that is not proportional to their numbers in US society is lame.
Yes, that is would be lame; it’s good, therefore, that no one has done so. Did you bother to read the comment direct preceding your own – mine, that is? It’s no accident that I compared Donohue’s statement to William Bennett’s claim that the crime rate in America would be reduced by aborting all black babies. I have the sneaking suspicion you’d have no problem whatever acknowledging that Bennett’s statement is an expression of pure nigger-hatred. Let’s see if perhaps you can figure out how, in exactly the same way, a statement that’s factually accurate – just like Bennett’s – can nonetheless be plainly anti-Semitic.
In essence, many zionists have utter contempt for democracy and they firmly believe that they enjoy their wealth because they are genetically superior to black folks.
In fact, many rightwing Jews and other supporters of an expansionist Israeli settlement policy are, indeed, utterly contemptuous of democracy, based on their repeated explicit assertions to that effect. Zionists, on the other hand, believe that Jews are entitled to a national homeland. Needless to say – except for a pinhead, that is – Zionism doesn’t have a goddamn thing to do with any ostensible belief in the genetic superiority of Jews over blacks.
By the way, I’m neither rightwing nor pro-war (though I am a Zionist), but have no problem whatever with claiming that Chomsky is a gaping asshole, based precisely on his analysis of various issues rather than his status as a self-hating Jew. Perhaps while your studying the statements of Donohue and Mel Gibson to detect subtle hints of anti-Semitism, you could suggest one such analysis by Chomsky that kicks ass.
