In our mouths and in our hearts: Day 9

(Introduction.)
Today: Now that Pesach is over… happy holidays!
91. “Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.” (Exodus 20:7) = by positive recognition – kiddush, etc.
92. “It shall be a sabbath of complete rest for you.” (Leviticus 16:31) = Yom Kippur. The prohibition of work on each holiday is commanded through at least one positive mitzvah (rest!) and one negative mitzvah (don’t work!).
93. “Don’t do any work.” (Leviticus 23:31) = on Yom Kippur
94. “In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall practice self-denial.” (Leviticus 16:29) = fasting (etc.) on Yom Kippur – this is the positive commandment.
95. “Any person who does not practice self-denial throughout that day shall be cut off from his/her kin.” (Leviticus 23:29) = don’t eat (etc.) on Yom Kippur – this is the negative commandment.
96. “You shall celebrate a sacred occasion on the first day.” (Exodus 12:16) = 1st day of Pesach
97. “On the first day you shall celebrate a sacred occasion: you shall not work at your occupations.” (Leviticus 23:7) = 1st day of Pesach
98. “You shall celebrate a sacred occasion on the seventh day.” (Exodus 12:16) = 7th day of Pesach
99. “No work shall be done on them.” (Exodus 12:16) = 7th day of Pesach
100. “On that same day you shall hold a celebration; it shall be a sacred occasion for you…” (Leviticus 23:21) = Shavuot
101. “…you shall not work at your occupations.” (Leviticus 23:21) = Shavuot
102. “In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe complete rest.” (Leviticus 23:24) = Rosh Hashanah
103. “You shall not work at your occupations.” (Leviticus 23:24) = Rosh Hashanah
104. “The first day shall be a sacred occasion…” (Leviticus 23:35) = 1st day of Sukkot
105. “…you shall not work at your occupations.” (Leviticus 23:35) = 1st day of Sukkot
