(Introduction.)
Today: Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly offerings
376. “[The priest] shall take up the ashes to which the fire has reduced the burnt offering on the altar and place them beside the altar.” (Leviticus 6:3) = every day
377. “Aaron shall burn on [the altar] aromatic incense; he shall burn it every morning when he tends the lamps, and Aaonr shall burn it at twilight when he lights the lamps — a regular incense offering before God throughout the ages.” (Exodus 30:7-8)
378. “Aaron and his sons shall set up [lamps] in the Tent of Meeting, outside the curtain which is over [the Ark of] the Pact, [to burn] from evening to morning before God.” (Exodus 27:21)
379. The high priest’s daily minchah (meal) offering (Leviticus 6:13-15)
380. “On the sabbath day: two yearling lambs without blemish, together with 2/10 of a measure of choice flour with oil mixed in as a meal offering, and with the proper libation — a burnt offering for every sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its libation.” (Numbers 28:9-10)
381. “On the table you shall set the bread of display, to be before me always.” (Exodus 25:30) = 12 loaves each week
382. The musaf (additional) offering for Rosh Chodesh (Numbers 28:11-15)
383. The musaf offerings for the 7 days of Pesach (Numbers 28:19-24)
384. “When you enter the land that I am giving to you and you reap its harvest, you shall bring the first sheaf of your harvest to the priest.” (Leviticus 23:10) = the omer offering, on the 2nd day of Pesach
385. “From the day on which you bring the sheaf of elevation offering — the day after the sabbath — you shall count off seven weeks.” (Leviticus 23:15) = counting the omer! BY READING THIS POST, YOU ARE OBSERVING THIS MITZVAH
