The Lord is My Shepherd, I Shall Have Another Helping of Kugel

A new offering from the land of Biblical kitsch: Dinner sets with inspirational verses. The full collection is here; several of the themed collections (at least “Praise,” “Psalms,” “Patriotic” and a few of the serving dishes) are comprised of all Old Testament pasukim, so maybe this could be a nice way to differentiate between milk and meat dishes.
Here, for example, are the verses found on the “Patriotic” collection:

Dinner Plate: God will exalt your nation. He will heal your land! Deuteronomy 28:1 and II Chronicles 7:14
Salad Plate: Pray! Seek His face! Repent! II Chronicles 7:14
Bread & Butter Plate: Obey God! Humble yourselves! Deuteronomy 28:1 and II Chronicles 7:14
Soup/Cereal Bowl: Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord! Psalm 33:12
Mug: Pursue Peace! Leviticus 26:6

I dunno. I’m not always ready to repent while I’m working on my salad, but maybe that’s exactly my problem.

  1. so maybe this could be a nice way to differentiate between milk and meat dishes.
you mean that for the fleishig I get to have NT verses? Cool!

  2. So I don’t do cheeseburgers myself, but my wife /totally/ needs a cheeseburger plate with Gen 18:8 on it: “He took curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared and set these before them”.
