An Israel you can believe in…

Several cool events this weekend around a better Israel we can beleieve in:
This Friday, Shabbat dinner at the JCC in Manhattan with legendary Israeli journalist Chaim Yavin (their Walter Cronkite) and a panel of Jewish and Arab Israeli filmmakers, party of the Other Israel Film Festival.
Check out the full films and guests, including Chaim Yavin’s latest film on Israeli Arab life, racism in Israeli soccer, and a Bedouin feminist legal activist introduces a film on Bedouin polygamy.
UPZ is holding a reunion for all their Birthright Israel alumni on Nov 9th with cheap tickets to Chaim Yavin’s film ID Blues. Drinks at Belmont Lounge at 6 pm, film at 7 pm. RSVP here.
The Sulha Concert is the same weekend, a benefit concert supporting the week-long interfaith reconciliation and dialogue event in Israel between Jews, Palestinians and internationals called The Sulha.
(I want to know how long the “Yes We Can” and “Change You Can Beleive In” puns will continue? Three months? Nine?)
