Golem is one of a handful of Jewish acts that has successfully toured and gained crossover fans in the secular world.  They’ve done it with grit, hardwork and without any sense of entitlement.
We’ve had Golem in Chicago about 5 times now, including a great show last year with Black Bear Combo.  They return to the Windy City on January 15th at Martyrs.
I love their humor, antics, energy and they’re pretty damn cool people as well.  Its no surprise that others in Chicago, including the Reader’s Peter Margasak, feel likewise and have grown their local audience considerably over the years.
