America’s favorite hockey-mom called on President Obama to “Push the reset button on our relations with our ally Israel.”
In the midst of all this embracing of enemies, where does the Obama Administration choose to escalate a minor incident into a major diplomatic confrontation? With Iran, Cuba, Sudan, North Korea or Burma? No. With our treasured ally, Israel.
She may be right that the treatment is heavy handed, but in case anyone missed it, Palin lost the election. And part of the reason is that her foreign policy experience was the equivalent of my knowing how to read Hebrew making me Moses. Does being a religious wingnut make her an expert on relations with Israel? Or does it have to do with Alaska’s distance from Washington? Or that Alaska was the 49th or 50th state and Israel is the 51st? All seem possible.
The only difference between a political loser and Palin? Lipstick.

it might not be wise to bring up foreign policy, the amount of states, and someones religiosity when youre trying to contrast it with barack obama……….(no hes not a muslim. im talking about his church)

At the point where one feels they can write 50% of the stories posted on Jewschool themselves, it’s time to take a break. It just got so mechanical, ya know? I still check in every once in a while, but honestly, the quality of posts has decreased. I haven’t seen anything worth getting into a fistfight over, the way we used to. I’m not even sure if it’s a quality issue – the focus has shifted dramatically since around last November. There are a lot more “local community interest” stories now, which is great for people in those communities, but less of interest to those who aren’t.
And now there’s this guy Eli on here, writing pro-Zionist pieces! I didn’t think I’d see THAT on Jewschool. Live and learn.
I learned a lot on here, particularly from you, KFJ, dlevy, Justin, even the very honest Amit. I’m putting it to work on behalf of Jewish communities in Yesha – primarily the Shomron Regional Council and the One Israel Fund. You may have heard Salam Fayaad recently welcome the Yesha communities as the future citizens of Palestine. At a time when even the Palestinian Prime Minister accept the rights of Jews to live and grow in Yesha, it is incredible that some in the Jewish community continue to insist on destroying Jewish life there.
