This is the third of RHR-NA’s conferences, and they do not disappoint. Unlike many much- ballyhooed or better-known gatherings, RHR-NA’s biannual gatherings feature people who are actually out there doing work to make the world a better place for all, and doing it Jewishly.

1/ No Cantors listed?
I was expecting at least a mohel too (unless that Peter Beinart fellow is one).
2/ Its nice that they’re going to light candles on a Sunday. It couldn’t be because of Chanukah (see below)
3/ ‘A Chanukah for Human Rights’. Did the Maccabees respect human rights? My understanding is that they massacred Jews whose religious practices they didn’t like.
4/ ‘$75 1-day registration fee for those on limited income’. Apparently some people don’t understand the phrase ‘limited income’. (75 x 365 = 27,375 just to help out)
Besides the ‘Open Society Institute’ is helping out with this thing. Does George Schwartz really need to be getting $75 from poor people? No wonder I’m not a billionaire-I don’t believe in taking money from poor people (at least not that much).
