Mónica Gomery is a rabbi, a poet, a Talmud teacher, and the Associate Director of SVARA: A Traditionally Radical Yeshiva. She builds queer Jewish community locally in Chicago and nationally through SVARA's bet midrash learning, and she feels deeply grateful and indebted to all the ancestors and freedom fighters who have made it possible for her to do this work.
