Rachel Canar has 22 years of professional nonprofit experience with particular focus on resource development and strategic planning, including serving as a Hillel Director and Associate Director of the New Israel Fund SF. In 2006 she moved to Israel to serve as the Director of Development at the Israel Religious Action Center. She later created her consulting firm NGO Catalyst, where she advises, trains, mentors, and recruits resource development professionals. She is also an expert on the issues of Jewish pluralism and religious freedom in Israel. She has served on the board of the Jerusalem Open House and now of Israel Hofsheet. She holds a BA from the UC Santa Cruz in Language Studies and an MA from the Hornstein Program at Brandeis University. She is a founding member of Pantsuitnation Israel.
