Pro-Palestinian Jewish Student Sues University Over Suspension

Daniel Freeman-Maloy, who was suspended from York University earlier this year for his use of a contraband megaphone in the course of a pro-Palestinian demonstration on campus, is suing the school for $800,000, despite the fact that his suspension has been lifted:

In a statement of claim filed Tuesday with Ontario’s Superior Court, Daniel Freeman-Maloy alleges abuse of power, defamation and the relatively unusual claim of breach of academic freedom.

I guess that’s what you get for trying to unjustly make an example out of someone.
