by the way, Loconte is the same right-wing pundit who argued in the lead up to the Iraq war that Jesus taught the importance of punishment and pre-emptive strikes.
It might not seem that eretz nehederet (Wonderful Country) is funny by having the jokes explained by the NYT. It IS amusing in parts – proved by its ratings – and not really related to the Daily Show other than being partly a news parody.
its often the caricatures which are funnier than the actual gags eg Uzi Cohen etc.
