All Jews named Josh: You may be Moshiach

Christian-fundie newsrag Israel Today reports,

A few months before he died, one of the nation’s most prominent rabbis, Yitzhak Kaduri, supposedly wrote the name of the Messiah on a small note which he requested would remain sealed until now. When the note was unsealed, it revealed what many have known for centuries: Yehoshua, or Yeshua (Jesus), is the Messiah.

  1. Can I still be the Moshiach if my middle name is Joshua? And, what does a moshicah get paid these days? I could use the work.

  2. I’m just wondering if when it says that the messiah’s name will be “Josh”, does that have to be his first name? I have two very cool friends with Josh as middle name and would they – theoritcally, or theologically I guess, be a possibility?

  3. The man Rav Kadouri met is not Yeshua. He just gave a response that had the acronym of this name. The message was written down by a young man who accompanied the Rav while he was walking a street in the old city of Safed.

  4. i would not be so quick to set this aside from my understanding and fact finding the alledgement is accurate of wha was said and done.

  5. We have known from the very beginning that the Meshiach’s name will be Joshua. In fact the Joshua who liberated Jericho was a type of Meshiach to come. Saying the Meshiach’s name will be joshua is not the same as saying it will be Yeshka. If the note is authentic then it is only reaffirming what we have known for 3500 years….that Moshaich’s name will be Josh.
