Monotone-voiced bit actor and former Nixon speechwriter Ben Stein – writing on E! Online – addresses the stereotype of Hollywood being ‘run by Jews’ in a piece called “Do Jews run Hollywood? You bet they do — and what of it?”

Stein opens his essay by referring to (mischaracterizing?) an infamous 1996 tirade by Marlon Brando on the Larry King show, but manages to tapdance all around it without reallly directly addressing the point Brando was trying to make. Shouldn’t the millenia of Jewish suffering make us more sensitive to the suffering of others? It’s an interesting and thought-provoking article regardless.
