In the face of a popular uprising against the regime of Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada, Bolivian Jews are keeping a low profile amid unfounded concerns that populist leader Evo Morales may stir up antisemitic sentiment.

This is just stupid behavior and irresponsible journalism. If anything is going to turn Morales against Bolivia’s 700 Jews, it’s going to be articles like this that preemptively brand him an antisemite.
