Brit Tzedek v’Shalom and the place in history of American Jews

In today’s Boston Globe, Stephen P. Cohen writes of the need for “a new US movement for Middle East peace.” Cohen is president of the Institute for Middle East Peace and Development and national scholar for the Israel Policy Forum. In the article, Mr. Cohen mentions the upcoming Brit Tzedek conference being held in Boston October 31st-November 2nd, and says it may prove to be a test of whether the American Jewish peace movement can change the course of history by becoming a powerful force in the middle east conflict.

“What we’re saying today is that you’re either part of the solution or you’re part of the problem.” –Eldridge Cleaver, Speech in San Francisco, 1968
