Brooklyn Fire Not The Work of Scummy Landlords?
Via Canonist: Last month’s warehouse fire turns out (b”h) not to may not be an act of Jewish lightning.
Authorities arrested a 59-year-old metal scrapper on Wednesday for the May 2 warehouse fire in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Sources tell 1010 WINS that the man was allegedly trying to remove copper from the building when some insulation started burning, causing the massive blaze that burned for two days.
Officials said Kuczera Leszek was arrested and is accused of starting the fire. He was being held on arson, burglary and other charges.

Not even vaguely plausible. If this were to appear as a plot twist in some morally overladen ensemble-cast urban drama like ‘Crash’ or ‘City of Hope’ it would be immediately clear that the saintly pauper would be eventually exonerated when the nefarious landlord is unmasked.
