maybe they look on it as a middle eastern burrito equivalent and then put whatever they want in it.
Come on, it still tastes great.
I actually kinda like lettuce in my pita with falafel, and I buy them in Da Real (!) falfel stands here in Tel Aviv.
Maybe if you can get them to put some hazilim it’ll taste better.
It could be worse. They could slather it all in mayonnaise.
I recently had a narsty one on Hornby Island in British Columbia, they put sour cream on the falafel!!
