Fired Fulani: Some Of My Best Friends Are Jewish

NY Independence Party boss Lenora Fulani, known for her virulent antisemitic remarks, has finally been given the long-overdue shaft. Newsday reports,

Lenora Fulani was kicked off the Independence Party’s executive board yesterday over comments deemed anti-Semitic that she’s repeatedly failed to disavow.
During the lengthy debate among top leaders and members in a meeting in Albany, Fulani, an outspoken and controversial figure in local politics, pointed to her Jewish friends and colleagues to prove she’s not anti-Semitic, including her backing of Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
“Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York City, whose campaign I am vigorously supporting, is a Jew,” Fulani declared to party members.
[…] In her long statement of defense, Fulani declared herself not an enemy of Israel or Jews.
“I am not an anti-Semite. Anti-Semites hate Jews,” Fulani told members. “I’ve spent the last 25 years working closely with Jewish colleagues and friends.”
She went on to characterize her removal as a conspiracy by Democrats to punish her for luring African-Americans away to join the Independence Party.

Fulani has previously referred to Zionism as “Jewish Corporate Nationalism” and stated that Jews “had to sell their souls” to acquire Israel. She has also stated that Jews “do the dirtiest work of capitalism, to function as mass murderers of people of color,” a reference to Israeli-Palestinian relations.

  1. She’s still around?!?!?!
I moved to Israel 15 years ago – and I remember her on the ballot in Manhattan.
One of those boomers that did tofu instead of acid. Now we’ll have to pay their social security…
