I sat with this Megillat Esther on my lap in synagogue (it has the entire hebrew text worked into artwork) last year, and not a single person asked me about it. Apparently, the people I go to synagogue with are not very cool.
I picked this up at the local library and was, frankly, not as impressed as I hoped ot be. I may be jaded because of all the great Frank Miller out there (not to mention Spiegelman, Clowes, et al) but I see a lot more potential in the graphic novel than we’re taking advantage of (as a people).
I’m glad that the book is available in a library:)
Other MOT “taking advantage” are Miriam Libicki, Chari Pere, Josh Neufeld, and Neil Kleid.
Happy Purim!
