A Nasty Woman of Valor
Women of the United States have been beaten and groped and insulted. The recent Presidential debates have brought out a crude and vulgar side of sexism that hits a new low, even for politics. Last night Trump’s baseless malice elicited a collective gasp from viewers of the debate when he interrupted Clinton’s comments on Social Security to call her a “nasty woman,” in a tone which was unmistakably cruel and misogynist. Despite this nightmare and despite Trumps constant interruptions, Clinton held her head high and continued through the debate with grace and poise, a true professional.
In light of all of this, I give you a modern twist on an old favorite:
A Nasty Woman of Valor
A President of valor, who can find? Her worth is far above outrageously offensive failed businessmen.
The hearts of her constituents vote for her, and nothing shall they lack. She renders them reasonable domestic and foreign policy all the days of her life.
She opens her charitable foundations to the needy, and extends her economic reform measures to the poor.
She is robed in tasteful pantsuits, and cheerfully faces sexism literally everywhere.
She signs bills into law with wisdom. Her press conferences are guided by rational thought.
She tends to the affairs of her country, and does not take hundreds of days off to play golf.
Her cabinet members come forward to help her run the country. Her husband too, and he praises her (though not too much because he gets in trouble sometimes).
Many women have done superbly, but you might actually have a shot at the Presidency. Trump is deceitful, and Pence is a backwards thinking disaster, but an intelligent and liberal woman is much to be praised.
Place before her the young feminists she inspired. Wherever people gather, they should vote for her and encourage others to do the same.
