Ol'merty Bastard to EU: "N*gga Please!"

Oh snap!

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told European leaders to stop preaching to him about civilian war casualties in an interview published on Sunday in German newspaper Welt am Sonntag.
Olmert also said it would not be possible to completely destroy Hizbollah and insisted he did not underestimate them, saying they had fired just 3,000 of their arsenal of 15,000 rockets so far.
“Where do they get the right to preach to Israel?” Olmert said when asked about criticism from European capitals of Israeli military operations that have led to a heavy civilian toll.
“European countries attacked Kosovo and killed ten thousand civilians. Ten thousand! And none of these countries had to suffer before that from a single rocket.
“I’m not saying it was wrong to intervene in Kosovo. But please: Don’t preach to us about the treatment of civilians.”

  1. Olmert gives me mixed feelings. Sometimes he talks and acts like a moron. Other times he kicks ass. It’s too soon to tell which of the two best describes him.

  2. Exactly, NATO killed 500 (according to HRW) the rest were victims of Serbian aggression. So NATO was responsible for less civilian deaths than the IDF in a longer time period. Not a great thing to base an argument on Ehud.

  3. What does Olmert sound like? Well, more and more, like the idiot-boy in the White House.
Hey, Ehud — better to listen to your daughter, than to the veep and the president…

  4. So around 500 civilians died in Kosovo. His number is wrong, but the point is valid. Hezbollah started this war and their hiding amongst civilians makes perfect sense, but to then blame Israeli for the deaths of the civilians is ludicrous. It’s easy to criticize Israel for all the civilian deaths, but if we were in the shoes we’d probably make the same decision.

  5. I personally am not a fan of Olmert (to put it lightly) but he brings up the excellent point that European politicians and their armchair amen corners in Europe and abroad are full of double standard bullcrap.
