Queens Jews Unite Over Antisemitic Incident

“Days after the Jewish festival of Chanukah, vandals knocked over two oversized menorahs, the most recent act of suspected anti-Semitic vandalism in Forest Hills over the past two months.

“The menorahs, erected by the Chabads of Rego Park and Flushing, respectively, were found toppled over on Monday, December 29 at Federoff Square and Gerald McDonald Park, both in Forest Hills. Since the solid steel menorahs were being held up by sandbags it is unlikely they toppled over by accident, police officials said.”
