Scholarships for "Occupation is Not Our Judaism"

[icon-box icon=comment] Do you know where your money goes?
Join the Center for Jewish Nonviolence on Sunday, March 20th at 1:00 pm EST as we explore the interconnection of funds and organizations that support the Israeli occupation, often without our knowledge. Register here.
[/icon-box]This summer, from July 10-20, 2016, dozens of Jews from around the world will spend ten days engaging in nonviolent activism on the ground with Palestinian and Israeli activists working to end the occupation in our campaign,“Occupation Is Not Our Judaism.”
We will stand with Palestinians being evicted from their homes and pushed off their land in Hebron and the South Hebron Hills in the name of ongoing settlement expansion and occupation.
We are offering a variety of needs-based scholarships to cover between between 25% to 75% of the $1100 participation fee. All interested individuals are encouraged to apply here and can indicate their financial need in the “Cost” section near the end of the application.
We are also offering designated needs-based scholarships, including:

  • Racial and Ethnic Diversity Scholarships to Jews of Color, Sephardim and Mizrachim
  • Jewish participants from the Global South

Media Stipend:

  • Independent Media Stipend for a blogger/videographer/photographer (please indicate your specific skill set on the application)

For individuals coming from these (and other) anti-occupation groups:

  • If Not Now
  • Open Hillel
  • Jewish Voice for Peace
  • T’ruah
  • J Street U
  • NIF New Generations & Shatil Fellow Alumni

Every $110 donation supports one day of activism in which Jews from around the world partner with Palestinians and Israelis to work for justice and equality over discrimination and displacement.  Please donate today!
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. For more information about this summer’s campaign, “Occupation Is Not Our Judaism,” please refer to our website for an overview of Who/What/Where/Why.
Application Deadline: March 15, 2016.
Please note that participants will be responsible for their own plane tickets and for paying the remaining amount of their delegation fee.  Participants are encouraged to utilize grassroots sources and online crowd-fundraising to help subsidize the costs of their participation. In the past, participants have been able to raise the entire cost of their trip through these platforms. Organizers are available to help participants set up crowd-funding pages.

  1. I am hopeful that Israel will not allow any members from your fringe, far-left, anti-zionist, anti-Israel publication into the country.
