Shana Tova!
In just a few short hours, the Jewish new year of Rosh Hashana will begin. As has been done for thousands of years, the shofar will be blown, apples will be dipped in honey, challot will be baked in round loaves, sometimes sprinkled with raisins or chocolate, new fruits will be sampled, pomegranate seeds will irreverently stain table cloths… and Jews all over the world will take two days to rediscover, reinvigorate, and rejuvinate their spiritual selves.
From all of us at Jewschool, have a happy, sweet, and meaningful new year.
Shana Tova!
yay!
