Surprising the nation, Jewish pop duo Evan and Jaron returned to television last night … in the premiere episode of ABC’s American Inventor. No, they haven’t invented a new genre of music. Instead, they’ve created a pit bowl. Yes, a pit bowl. A two-part bowl where the bottom part clandestinely stores previously chewed pits away from public view. Along with a few friends (including, of all people, Elon Gold), they pitched the idea to the show’s four judges and easily passed onto the next level. We chatted with Evan after the show last night and asked how many episodes he would be on, but said he was bound by secrecy (and ABC’s legal department) and couldn’t tell us.
