“Nasrallah’s authenticity has been fairly high throughout the years. This time around we should also believe him that he has long-range capabilities, even if we don’t know about them,†says a former officer who dealt with the issue during his military service.
I saw on the new yesterday that the missle jamming technology was NOT turned on the ship that was hit! WHY not? Oh Israel did not think the terrorists had missles like that! Israel needs to wake up! They ned to carpet bomb the areas those Ketyushas are coming from!
According to Haaretz (see http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/738721.html), there was a concern that the anti-missile systems might interfere with or even target Israeli planes in the area. Since they didn’t believe Hezbollah to have guided missiles, they may have considered it safer to keep those systems off than to turn them on. I’m sure they have since revised their policies.
Note also that Hezbollah apparently launched at least two of these missiles. The other hit and a freight ship with an Egyptian crew.
