When good Kabbalists go evil

Haaretz reports that the Peace Now is protesting the attorney general’s decision not to investigate a rabbi who offered to place a Kabbalistic curse on Ariel Sharon, on the grounds that it could lead to an assassination attempt. Dude! Kabbalistic curse!

The paper writes that the bad rabbi (bad rabbi! No cursing people!) in question is

Rabbi Yosef Dayan from the West Bank settlement of Psagot…. [He] declared his readiness last week to carry out a kabbalistic “Pulsa Denura” ceremony to place a curse of death on Sharon.

“The head of the Shin Bet says there are people hoping for Sharon’s death; I am one of them,” Dayan said. “What, am I not allowed to hope?”
