Arab Appointed 2nd Top Post In Israeli Interior
Arutz Sheva reports,
Interior Minister Ophir Pines (Labor) today said he will ask the cabinet to approve the appointment of the first Arab to serve as a ministerial director general.
The minister, who took over the ministry earlier this year after Labor joined the new coalition, said he had nominated a Jaffa resident, Abu Razek, to man the post. Pines has expressed his intentions to make the Arab population feel equal with Jews.
