Deal roundup
- Stop. The. Presses. Mel Gibson is developing a Holocaust mini-series for TV. This coming from a guy whose father denies the Holocaust. Oh God, save us. (This is all assuming, of course, that Gibson isn’t too busy replacing Schwarzenegger for governor.)
- Amy Brenneman (Judging Amy) has joined the cast of Jon Avent’s 88 Minutes, which stars Al Pacino as a psychiatrist who learns he has only 88 minutes to live.
- Harvey Fierstein is going from playing Fiddler on Broadway to playing a blue-collar heavy-set mom (think Roseanne) in a new sitcom for Fox.
- The Christian-produced One Night With the King, a feature film about Queen Esther that we first mentioned more than a year ago and was scheduled to have been released Purim 2005, is now expected to hit select theaters in a few months on Purim 2006.
