Experience Israel… On The Upper West Side
For the past three years, Israel Non-Stop has brought a vital infusion of insight, inspiration, intellectual honesty and artistry to New York City.
This year, the fourth annual Israel Non-Stop festival raises the bar even higher, offering an unprecedented five days of cutting-edge and controversial cultural offerings. From the US premiere of Kabbalah Music featuring the East-West Ensemble to pioneering Israeli pop goddess Yehudit Ravitz; from Ruth Kanner’s award-winning drama Discovering Elijah to an afternoon with Tel Aviv’s literary it-girl Yehudit Katzir; from a curated exhibition of contemporary Israeli photography to a screening of the Israeli box office hit Turn Left at the End of the World…this year’s Israel Non-Stop festival will transform New York City into an incubator of diverse and bold cultural offerings. Featuring a first-ever fashion show and a chumus-tasting contest with a star-studded panel of judges, Israel Non-Stop is a microcosm of Israel on Amsterdam Avenue.
Sponsored by the JCC in Manhattan, the Israel Non-Stop will take place from March 9-13 (ie., starting tomorrow!) at the JCC’s Samuel Priest Rose building at 334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street. The concert by Ms. Ravitz on March 12th, which is expected to draw a standing-room-only crowd, will be held at the Peter Norton Symphony Space at Broadway and 95th Street.
