New To The School

As you might’ve noticed, we’ve got some fresh blood on the blog. Give a warm welcome to our latest contributors:

  • Kalman Rushdie is a Russian-born Israeli yeshiva bachur (Shapells-bred) and journalist.
  • Jake Marmer is a writer from NYC and the managing editor of Mima’amakim, a “journal of artistic exploration of the Jewish religious experience.”
  • Joseph Berman is a New Israel Fund fellow and volunteer with the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions and Bustan L’Shalom. He is also a prospective rabbinical student currently interviewing for fall enrollment at The Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and Hebrew College.
  • Moses isn’t exactly new to Jewschool — he just finally got around to posting. He’s currently in the process of getting his smicha (Rabbinical ordination) from Chabad and works with various Jewish non-profit organizations in NY and Florida.
  • Eli Rosenblatt is a student at Sarah Lawrence College, currently enrolled at Hebrew U for the semester, and a former national Poetry Slam champion.
  • “B” is an Israeli journalist and the author of Not Another Israel Blog.
  • Ari “Frumsky” Goldsmith is the creator of Frumsky.com, JewishBuddies.com, and most notably, the ever-popular JRants.com.
  • Manuscript Boy is an Australian-born Israeli yeshiva bachur and an archivist at the Jewish National & University Library.
  • Joshua Neuman is the editor of Heeb magazine.
  • Lilit is a contributing editor to Heeb magazine.

More outstanding contributors are waiting in the wings. Hopefully they’ll be joining us shortly.
