Jew-Obsessed Former PM Endorses Kerry

The former Malaysian Prime Minister who caused a commotion last year with his anti-Jewish remarks, has endorsed John Kerry’s Presidential bid, perhaps without realizing that Kerry himself is a Jew (well, by Reform standards, at least).

Mahathir Mohamad said Wednesday, “I think Kerry would be much more willing to listen to the voices of people and of the rest of the world,” and then—in the same breath—condemned the American Jewish lobby for its stance on Palestine. Well, you gotta give the jackass some credit: he has tried to backpedal.

The Kerry camp, of course, instantly rejected the endorsement, calling Mohamad “an avowed antisemite whose views are totally deplorable,” adding, “It is simply not appropriate for any foreign leader to endorse a candidate in America’s presidential election. John Kerry does not seek, and will not accept, any such endorsements.”

Johnny, Johnny, Johnny… Why’d you have to open up a mouth?

Man, I want Howard Dean back.

  1. Howard Dean? Feh!
I like Kerry. He’s got juice from a long run in the Senate, including service on the foreign relations committee. He was one of the strongest opponents to Bush-Cheney’s attempt to drill the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. He’s making a campaign priority of sustainable energy from economic, environmental and foreign policy perspectives. And he didn’t apologize or in any way backpedal in the face of Republican whining over his “crooked bunch of liars” comment. Come November I look forward to voting, and without holding my nose.
