“A man who One of them killed”. How typical for a socialist to assign labels left and right based on what mass media feeds the sheep. Look up “Who Killed Itzhak Rabin” research by an independent reporter Barry Hamish, and get informed. Oh and before you tell me he’s a right-wing hack, get it right, his studies are based on facts many of which are easily verifiable.
It appalls me to see comments such as this all over the place. Ignorance is a plague. Fight it.

I’m somewhat ashamed to say that I’ve read Mr. Hamish’s book (although I didn’t actually pay for it, so I don’t feel as bad). He strings together a lot of shaky evidence to promote his thinly veiled right wing agenda. He makes the absurd claim that Rabin was in fact killed by a conspiracy of the left who didn’t want Rabin to make peace. His strongest evidence for this seems to be in drawing parallels with the Kennedy assassination, because we all know that was a conspiracy. And while it may not be fair to blame an entire group for the actions of one extremist, blaming the friends of a great man brutally murdered is 100 times more despicable.

Hey moron, last time I checked the “war criminal” Bush caught the real war criminal Saddam Hussein.
…and lied to the entire world in order to do it. and the guy who was in charge of the operation supplied hussein with the materials he used to committ his war crimes and didn’t seem to have any qualms about it for about 6 years. and somehow, oddly, instead of being arrested for supplying a new tyrant with said weapons, he was put in charge of the operation to apprehend saddam. and really, they all seem to be more concerned about oil and reconstruction contracts than iraqi liberation. but whatever. ooh. he caught saddam. actually, the kurds caught him, and handed him off to the u.s. for a hefty reward. it was all kept under wraps so that bush could get the glory. not to mention he used the distraction saddam’s capture to sign several provisions of the victory act into law (patriot ii) giving police even more powers to snoop on citizens. but yeah, whatever.
Last time I checked Israel defended itself from an Arab invasion in 1967 from the territories and conquered them in retaliation.
uh, well actually, israel attacked egypt. it was a pre-emptive strike. considering how half-assed the arabs fought, it’s hard to say whether they were really preparing to attack israel or not. that’s israel’s official story, but not the one anyone else’s history books tell.
Last time I checked settlements are being taken down as well as terrorist houses in west bank and gaza.
really, cuz last time i checked, ariel sharon was making speeches to birthright israel attendees, offering to give them money to move to settlements in the west bank.

funny you should say that–i just quit my job. no more federal income tax for me! but you know, being that i’m an american taxpayer, who’s paid well over $14,000/yr in taxes for the last 4 years, and who voted in the last presidential election, i think i have every entitlement to speak my mind, have my voice heard, and to demand representation from my government. that’s called patriotism. blind alleigence to one’s rulers is NOT patriotism–it is antithetical to patriotism. to be a patriot is to criticize one’s leaders when they are wrong, and to involve yourself in making sure that the money that’s being taken from you every april is going to the right places. our country was founded by people who demanded uncorrupted leaders, equal representation, and the highest standards of liberty. they questioned the government and all forms of authority every single step of the way. to them, throwing tea into boston harbor was an act of patriotism. today, showing up at an anti-globalization demonstration gets you pegged a traitor. if standing up for american ideals is now considered unamerican, then perhaps america is more akin to stalin’s russia than it is thomas jefferson’s america. and that just makes you a fascist asshole. and maybe it’s YOU who should move, because clearly AMERICA is not the land you wish to live in.
