#TBT: "But Korach’s Children Did Not Die"

A brief passage in this week’s Torah portion, while enumerating a census, adds a side note: “But Korach’s children did not die” — ” וּבְנֵי קֹרַח לֹא מֵתוּ”. These four words and the considerable attention given to them by the Rabbis point sharply toward contemporary societal crises with regard to the incarceration complex, racial discrimination in criminal justice, collective punishment, and more. This week, we revive Throwback Thursday with this piece by Aryeh Bernstein from last year.
