In an effort to boost American Jewish support for President George W. Bush, the White House this week distributed to American Jewish leaders a 26-page pamphlet cataloguing the president’s commitment to the war on terrorism, Israel’s security, and combating anti-Semitism.

The pamphlet threads together statements by Bush with comments by Jewish leaders and officials commending the president for his efforts on all three fronts.

“Today, Jews in America know they have a steadfast friend and defender in the Oval Office,” the White House document says.

Uh huh.
